St. Cloud Main Street was awarded three Merit Awards at the 2019 Florida Main Street Conference, as well as being recognized for their 20 year anniversary. "The annual awards program showcases the innovative practices and projects that contribute to the success of local Main Street programs. Two award categories were presented including the Honor Awards, which highlight the very 'best of the best' Main Street communities, and the Merit Awards, which recognize outstanding examples of redevelopment and leadership."
St. Cloud Main Street is honored to receive these awards and thank those whose contributions helped facilitate the award winning projects in our community.

Florida Sandhill Crane becomes Official City Bird

As of yesterday, May 24th 2018, the City of St. Cloud Florida adopted the Florida Sandhill Crane as the official city bird. This initiative was brought forth through the Design Committee at St. Cloud Main Street, whom in 2005 put forth the initiative of adopting the Amaryllis Minerva as the official city flower.

St. Cloud Main Street has been designated as an accredited Main Street America™ program for meeting rigorous performance standards set by the National Main Street Center. Each year, the National Main Street Center and its Coordinating Program partners announce the list of accredited Main Street America programs in recognition of their exemplary commitment to preservation-based economic development and community revitalization through the Main Street Approach.
